From Economic Problems to Economic development

P-Noy's Sona was the topic of our class today and we tackled some of his proposed programs in battling with the country's problems and found out that his Sona or (State of the Nations Address) have no direct foreign policies. He only gave facts such as our undeniable problems without thinking of proper solutions except for some, but the bulk of his speech focuses on the cases of the past administration.

We worked on a group tackling the interconnections between the problems as well as the proposed solutions from P-Noy's Speech and as a group we chose our country's Economic problem mainly because we believe that the Philippines ranked as one of the most unfriendly countries in terms of our laws regarding foreign investments which may bring us economic growth and development. On the other hand, the proposed solution that we thought of is the PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP wherein it was said that we will not anymore spend even a single peso from willing foreign investors to invest in our country like for some who wants to build an expressway from Manila to Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Viscaya until Cagayan Valley. With growing investments in the future, we believe that it will create infrastructures that will open jobs for our Filipino people not only for the professionals but also to small wokers such as construction workers who is willing to work on large projects like this, and not only that, by these infrastructures, our market sector will improve because of an easier transportation and faster movement of goods and services that will make money movement as quickly as possible. Upon having expressways and trains for that matter, it will also build up our growing small businesses that is a big help in our business sector like for example small food chains on every train stations and a lot more, And adding to the solutions, we also include the Department of Trade and Industry's easier and more efficient business processing which will accommodate larger foreign investments in the future thus this resolution will help our country not to spend but rather gain from this concept and so we recommend to this administration to hopefully draft and implement policies that will provide accommodations for foreign investments.
